Digital Marketing/Social Media Intern

Catriona Moore is the founder of new business The English Art Co. with artist David Lyon Art. She has worked in the design, print, arts and licensing industry for 25 years at main board director level and as managing director of her own design studio for 13 years.

The English Art Co. aims to support artists by producing and selling product featuring original art that's made in the UK giving income back to the artist.

We’re part of Entrepreneurial Spark - the world's largest free business and people accelerator programme - where we, and the business, are challenged to progress our business.

We’re looking for a temporary digital marketing and social media intern to help, one or two days a week.

Your role:

  • To create content for social media using facebook, instagram and twitter;
  • To writing blog posts;
  • To create and design newsletters using mailchimp;
  • To update our website with new images and product;
  • To help with the marketing of our photography days, events and trade shows.

Criteria required:

  • You will be an undergraduate or postgraduate from a marketing, business or creative background;
  • You will have a good understanding of all social media channels, digital marketing and analytics;
  • You will need to be creative, have an eye for detail, a good communicator and entrepreneurial;
  • A basic knowledge of html would be useful.

In return you will be:

  • travel expenses from Leeds area, paid on a monthly basis
  • given support, help and training
  • working within a creative industry
  • involved in studio photography shoots (once a month) at our studio in Leeds
  • working out of Entrepreneurial Sparks - Leeds city centre hub


  • One or two days a week
  • 1-3 months
  • Working hours: 10am - 5pm

You’ll be working in a very exciting, challenging environment, based at the Entrepreneurial Spark hub in Leeds City Centre, working alongside many other entrepreneurs. There will be lots of opportunities, to attend workshops and seminars, and be involved in the collaborative surroundings.
